Joe Wilson

Imitating the example set by his father who was a lifelong firefighter, Mr. Wilson was drawn to law because of a deep desire to be of service to others. He has worked extensively in politics and public policy, indigent criminal defense, and now focuses his efforts on advocating for victims of physical and sexual violence, particularly children and those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Mr. Wilson received his Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2008, where he was also the captain of the Division 1 swim team. Mr. Wilson received his Juris Doctorate in 2014 from Saint Louis University School of Law. During his years in law school, Mr. Wilson continued to be involved in the sport of swimming by coaching for several club swim teams and high schools in the St. Louis area.

After law school, Mr. Wilson worked for a variety of political candidates and issue campaigns across the state of Missouri. In 2019 he began work with the Missouri State Public Defender system in the St. Louis County office. After representing the indigent of St. Louis County for six years, Mr. Wilson joined the O’Brien Law Firm to continue his career in advocacy.

Mr. Wilson is a member of The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, the National Crime Victim Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.

Mr. Wilson enjoys being active with his children and their sports. When time allows, he enjoys running, cooking, and gardening.
